9 1/2 Month Check-Up

Coen and I went to his doctor appointment yesterday! He weighed 20 lbs even (50th %ile) and was 30" tall (90th %ile). The doctor said he has a beautifully shaped head since he is a tummy sleeper and is doing just great. I also found out Dr. Bunce has over 50 ducks, peacocks, peahens, and chickens. She is a busy lady!

I think Coen has been teething lately; he's been clingy and whiny. This weekend we're meeting up with some of my friends for a girls (and baby) weekend. I hope he is happier then!

Got to go, somebody wants to play with me!

trying to climb onto our TV stand
playing with justin's slippers!
He loves playing outside unless his hands touch the grass. He enjoys playing in dirt and with rocks, but grass is just too much for him.
Minestrone soup!

End of Phoenix Pictures

He just wanted to climb up the slide

More Phoenix

We matched that day! And Coen was pooped out.

Going Backwards...Easter & Other

I played the organ in Le Sueur for their 7AM and 9 AM services. Then we came home for cheesy potatoes, beef roast, and stir-fried veggies. Coen liked tasting all the foods, especially the cheese.
Coen's Easter basket present was bubbles! Unfortunately they were heavy and fell down very quickly. Justin said they tasted like grapes...what an example.
Pretending to "sleep" in piles of sheets in the hallway. It's one of his new games. He thinks he's the bee's knees.
Helping Dad shut his eyes to sleep...haha
Coen has been doing lots of new things: pretending to kiss, pretending to sleep, feeding himself EVERYTHING (including inedible items...), and "writing" with pens and pencils. I think he's catching on to things much too quickly. But it's fun.

Pheonix!

For my Christmas present my parents had Coen & I come visit them in Phoenix while Daniel was there for Choral Fest. It was AMAZING and beautiful.
Ready for his first swim! He really enjoyed playing in the pool and splashed everyone around him.
Little skinny man! Upon arriving at the hotel Coen took everything off of the shelves and out of the cupboards.
Helping Grandpa take a good picture.
We found Uncle Dan at Choral Fest practices!

Justin & I hanging out during first nap (our lives go by Coen's napping/waking schedule now)
At a friends' house for a cookout. I thought it was funny Justin and Coen had almost the same expression. Justin was appalled at how dirty Coen got his jeans. :)
Coen liked our friends' dog, Molly, as long as his other hand was clenching my sweatshirt. He thought it was fun to pet her until she would turn and lick him.
Coen & his friend Jamis (who will be one year old next week!)
Daddy & Coen bouncing on the bed! I think in this one Justin looks like he wants to smoosh Coen.
Having fun!
All riled up after bouncing on the bed. Those silly guys.
Coen tried tofu! He enjoyed it. I think next time, though, I'll get the firm kind so that it doesn't squish so easily all over everything. Coen found out he could squeeze it in his hands then clap and make it go all over.

Yummy biscuit!
You can see where his toy piano hit him in the under-eye.
Teeth!! He has 2 on top and 2 on the bottom and a 3rd coming through on the bottom. It's hard to get a good teeth picture.
Sad that it's almost naptime.

More Happenings

Me & Justy Wusty. I played the piano and Justin sang for the Contemporary Service at church this morning. Gangie (Gma Ide) was the Coen-sitter and it all went wonderfully.
Getting into things...naughty boy!
I put a "skirt" around our counter/table to hide the things underneath.
Coen likes to help Justin brush his teeth in the morning. Sometimes he brushes too hard, though, and toothpaste flies everywhere.
