Christmas Eve AM Present Opening

IMG_6301Coen got a wagon from his Great Grandpa & Grandma Ide. He did his best to stay in it the whole morning when we opened presents.IMG_6302IMG_6303Justin got me a Camelback water bottle and Coen wanted mine.IMG_6304 I showed him his, but he still preferred mine…….so we switched.

IMG_6309Using his new tool set from Uncle Greger & Aunt Liane. And wearing his new shirt from Aunt Debbie and Uncle Frank!

Thank you to all who thought of us this Christmastime! God has blessed us with an amazing family and friends!

Emily Laete’s Wedding!

We went to Wisconsin to have an early Christmas with the Vilskis and my parents and also to attend Emily Laete’s wedding. It was so nice to see Spokane people there, and obviously Coen loved being around both sets of grandparents. It was pretty confus

ing to him, though, because there was a grandma everywhere!

Coen in his cute little suit. He was a little crabby after a VERY short nap and lots of schedule changes.

Reunited again!

Taking a picture for the photographers, of the photographers

The boy with his hands in the shape of a gun was not Batman, but all of Batman’s enemies in one character. Coen watching him in awe and tried to mimic everything he did, somewhat successfully.

Me & Mrs Laete!

All together.

IMG_6293

Coen loved the last few drops of Diet Coke with melted ice. He felt very important.

Congratulations, Emily & Joe K.!

Around the house

IMG_6206 Vacuuming with his new vacuum we got from Target the day after Thanksgiving. It’s very handy for little messes from little (and big) people!

IMG_6219IMG_6237 Guess which company his grandfather works for and his father plays for?

Coloring with MARKERS!!!! And all dressed up for church.

WEBERS FAMILY FRIENDS!!

The Webers came to visit for our tradition, Thanks-friend-ing. They came the week after Thanksgiving and stayed with us. It was sooooo nice to have them here and we miss them so much!

IMG_6195 Reading with Funcle Josh. Josh taught Coen to watch TV from one foot away. He puts the “fun” in “funcle” (Funcle = fake+uncle)

IMG_6197So much love.

Coen’s Tent & Naptime Crabbies

Coen actually wasn’t in a bad mood when he woke up from his nap, he just looked very serious as he sat in his tent. But still cute, of course.

Blue Marker

I wonder what Coen found and stuck in his mouth……

Vilski/Burmeister Classy Poker Party 2010

IMG_6128

IMG_6134

We stayed in for a fun night of poker and trying dirty martinis. Justin & Mitch preferred normal ones with no olives. Weirdos.

Justin won the poker game. He earned all of our respect by doing so, but no cold hard cash.

Thanksgiving & Day After

IMG_6074

We had Thanksgiving with some friends. This is Maria & Bud Laude. They’re from Kansas.

Eating homemade whipped cream. Yum!

IMG_6123

Justin had a long shift at Target for the day after Thanksgiving sale so Coen and I set up and decorated the Christmas tree.

He did a good job of leaving the ornaments and garland alone. Occasionally he would take an ornament off then try to put it back on, but nothing compared to Gnarles the cat. : )

Oh, the Snow

I know I haven’t posted in over a month. I apologize. I looked back to see the last time I wrote anything and saw the small dusting of snow that I wrote about. December was the fifth highest snowfall recorded here (or something like that) with over FORTY INCHES OF SNOW. Ridiculous. Here are some photos of it. Bleck.

IMG_0027Some pretty ice on our front tree.

IMG_6185 Coen enjoyed being thrown into the snow bank by Mitch. He made a small “uff” sound when he hit each time but then was all grins and said “again”.

IMG_6267IMG_6298

So much snow! This was even before we got another 10 or so inches. It wasn’t even suitable for sledding; once you stepped in you sunk in up to your thigh. Some has melted due to one 40 degree day we had a while ago.
