One month old!

Franklin turned one month old yesterday! He's about 11-11.5 pounds and 22 inches or so. He is smiling more and more, and he enjoys being held for naps but is getting better at sleeping in his bassinet during the day. He's waking up more and being outside usually calms him if he's in a crabby mood.
Halina says "I love him."
Coen says "i love him. I wish he could hug me forever."
I say I'm glad that we are exiting the 6-weeks-of-survival and that I can see the light at the end of the newborn tunnel :)

All Halina's Life

Hallie's new thing is to add "all my life!" emphatically to the end of her sentences.

Example: "I like doggies. I like doggies ALL MY LIFE!!"

Little Gymnast

Halina took two sessions of gymnastics and loooooves it! We took a break while Franklin is a newborn, but we will start again in the late fall/winter. She is so strong and puts Coen to shame! (He did one session and decided it's not his thing.)

Restarting the Blog!

I was asked by Coen's Kindergarten teacher to write a story about him so I'm writing a little poem about each year of his life. Well, I had to turn to the blog to jog my memory and that's when I realized that I haven't written anything in over two years. And I have a terrible memory.

So here goes the blog restart!

Coen is now 6 years old, Halina is now 2 1/2, and Franklin is almost a month old. I'll do some catch-up here and there, but mostly I'll focus on the here on out.

Future city & home!

We are visiting Salt Lake City to meet our future church and school family and check out our new city and home. They are all wonderful and beautiful!

SLC is in a valley so we are surrounded by mountains. Yesterday we went to the zoo with a former classmate of Justin and me. She has two boys and a baby girl and Coen fits right in the middle of the boys age-wise. He had a blast.

Justin had a blast watching the church's softball team play and hang out after the game. (I did as well.) The team members were very personable and had a fun time laughing and joking around. Coen, once again, found friends and Hallie slept the whole time in my Moby wrap. (The game began after her normal bedtime.)

Now, not to make anyone jealous, but Hallie has been sleeping 8-11 hour stretches at night. She is just the best! :)

Buster enjoys having a doggy friend here (Maizey) and a fenced-in backyard. He has been running or sleeping most of the time.

Here are some photos!

Superheroes

Superhero Coen can, obviously fly since he has a cape. Superhero Baby Katie has a (hanger) mask so she can breathe underwater and rescue people. Super Vilskis!
